Everyone says date nights are vital for a healthy marriage.
But after betrayal, date night can feel anything but fun. It can feel awkward, scary, vulnerable, and even triggering. One wrong question, one hard moment, and suddenly the whole night feels ruined.
If that’s where you are, we get it.
Restoring date night was not easy for us. We had some funny fails, awkward silences, and plenty of trial and error along the way. But over time, we learned how to make date night feel safe, lighthearted, and enjoyable again.
In this episode, we share the do’s and don’ts of date night in recovery, what helped us stop turning dates into recovery check-ins, and how couples can begin laughing, reconnecting, and creating new memories after betrayal.
